Aligarh Sub-Inspector Saved from Suicide Attempt, Cites Harassment by Judge

In a dramatic rescue, police officers in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, saved Sub-Inspector Sachin Kumar from an apparent suicide attempt on a railway track, following allegations of harassment by Judge Abhishek Tripathi. A video of the incident, which surfaced on social media, shows officers lifting Kumar from the tracks as he expressed his distress over alleged mistreatment.

Kumar, in the video, can be heard stating that the judge had repeatedly summoned him to his chamber, where he was verbally abused and accused of misconduct. Despite these allegations, Judge Tripathi has not yet responded publicly.

The troubling sequence of events began after Kumar arrested five individuals for bike theft and presented them in court. According to Kumar, Judge Tripathi accused him of detaining innocent people and insulted him in court, leading to immense stress.

The footage shows police officers gently persuading Kumar to leave the tracks, with one officer saying, “It’s okay, stand up.” Kumar, in despair, initially refused but was eventually convinced by his colleagues.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged harassment and the suicide attempt to provide clarity and ensure appropriate action is taken.
