Unani Medicine is Entirely Based on Scientific Principles, Say Speakers
New Delhi: The All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) organised its 122nd free Unani medical camp at Sainik Farm, New Delhi, under the leadership of well-known activist and social leader Advocate Shah Jabeen Qazi.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Professor M.A. Jafri (former Vice Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi), Professor Mohammad Idris (former Principal of A&U Tibbia College, Karol Bagh, New Delhi), Professor S.M. Arif Zaidi (former Dean of the Faculty of Unani Medicine, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi), and Ms. Mamta Yadav (Municipal Councillor).
Ms. Mamta Yadav stated that such camps are equally beneficial for the public and for the promotion of Unani medicine. She further said that free Unani medical camps are an important means of public service.
Other speakers emphasised that Unani medicine is completely based on scientific principles and is a better method for maintaining health.
Among those who provided honorary services at the camp were Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan (Secretary General of AIUTC), Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Dr. Ehsan Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Faizan Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Altaf Ahmad, Dr. Ghiyasuddin Siddiqui, Dr. Mohammad Arshad Ghiyas, Dr. Abdul Ahad, Dr. Mohammad Arif Saifi, Dr. Farman Ali, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Hapuri, Dr. Mohammad Shamim Ansari, Dr. Bushra Shams, Dr. Sajida Anjum, Dr. Athar Mahmood, and Hakim Mohammad Murtaza Dehlavi.
Among the local residents who played a key role in the success of the camp were Sukhbir Jat, Qazi Abdul Basit, Dr. Samra, Qazi Abdul Razaq, Qazi Zeeshan Ahmad, Abdul Mannan, and Anand Pal.
Free dental and eye check-ups were also conducted by doctors from Safdarjung Hospital.
Most of the patients at the camp were found to be suffering from seasonal illnesses, joint pain, digestive and liver disorders, skin diseases, and allergies.
