All India Unani Tibbi Congress to Host ‘World Unani Medicine Day’ at Constitution Club on Feb.12

New Delhi: The All India Unani Tibbi Congress is set to organise the ‘World Unani Medicine Day’ event at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi on February 12 at 10:30 AM. The event will be presided over by Professor Mushtaq Ahmad.
In preparation of the event, a review meeting was held at Daryaganj under the chairmanship of Professor Syed Mohammad Arif Zaidi, former Dean of the Faculty of Unani Medicine at Jamia Hamdard. Professor Mohammad Idris, former Principal of A&U Tibbia College, New Delhi, attended as the chief guest, while Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Meeruthi moderated the session.
During the meeting, Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan, Secretary General of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress, announced the formation of various organizing committees for the event. Several eminent Unani practitioners and scholars, including Dr. S.M. Hussain, Dr. S.M. Yaqub, Dr. Mirza Asif Baig, Dr. Aizaz Ali Qadri, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, Dr. Ihsan Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Faizan Ahmad Siddiqui, Dr. Shakeel Hapoori, Dr. Faheem Malik, Dr. Bushra Khan, Dr. Mohammad Arif Saifi, Dr. Ilyas Mazhar Hussain, Dr. Athar Mahmood, Hakim Aftab Alam, Dr. Altaf Ahmad, Hakim Arbabuddin, Hakim Azeer Baqai, Hakim Naeem Raza, Israr Ahmad Ujjaini, Mohammad Naushad, and Mohammad Imran Qanuji participated in the discussions.
The February 12 event will feature the release of a commemorative journal titled World Unani Medicine Day: Hakim Syed Khaleefathullah – Life and Contributions, alongside an awards distribution ceremony and a symposium on Unani Medicine – Challenges and Solutions. Additionally, the NCISM Board of Ethics and Registration will conduct a live Central Registration (ABDM-HPR) session. Qualified Unani practitioners holding BUMS, MD, or PhD degrees are required to bring their Aadhaar Card, registration certificate from any state, and copies of their degree certificates to complete the registration process, which remains free as per the Government of India’s policy.
