Alva’s 22nd Iftar Koota Unites Communities

Moodbidri: The Alva’s Iftar Koota 2025, hosted by Alva’s Education Foundation, was held at Krishi Siri Vedike on March 15, attracting over 8,000 attendees. The event highlighted unity, sharing, and inclusivity.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind State Secretary, Mohammad Kunhi, urged love over hatred. He praised Dr. Mohan Alva and Alva’s Foundation for fostering togetherness. “Evil cannot be fought with evil; it must be countered with love,” he said, calling the Iftar a symbol of unity.
Kunhi emphasized Ramadan’s role in self-purification and moral growth. “Ramadan cleanses minds and curbs evil,” he said. He stressed that gatherings like these promote harmony and understanding.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Chairman of Shaheen Institutions, was the chief guest, alongside Dr. Mohan Alva, Bharat Mustafa, and Vivek Alva. The event, hosted by Abul Ala Puttige, concluded with Namaz arrangements.
A lavish feast included fruits, samosas, sharbat, mutton biryani, chicken masala, kebabs, and salads. A separate area ensured comfort for women attendees.
Founded in 1998, Alva’s Education Foundation runs over 20 institutions with 20,000+ students. Led by Dr. Mohan Alva, it promotes education and harmony. The Iftar Koota continues its mission of unity and peace.
