Aligarh: Expressing shock at the terrorist attack on the tourists in Kashmir, in a strong statement, Prof. Naima Khatoon, Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), condemned the violence saying, “We strongly condemn these heinous acts of violence, which threaten the peace and harmony essential for our collective progress. Such actions undermine the fabric of our society and disrupt the pursuit of peace,” she stated.
Offering her condolences, she added, “We pray for the affected individuals and the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic attack. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families during this difficult time.”
The Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mohd. Mohsin Khan also expressed his deep regret over the violence. “This terrorist attack is an appalling reminder of the brutality that undermines the values of humanity and peace. It is an affront to the principles of coexistence, tolerance, and mutual respect. We strongly condemn this cowardly act of violence,” he emphasised.
They also said that AMU stands firmly in solidarity with those affected by this heinous attack on the innocent fellow Indians.
