Aligarh: Mr Mohd Danish, Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Section at the University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been awarded the First Prize for Best Oral Presentation at the International Conference on Climate Action and Sustainability (ICCAS-2025) held at the United Arab Emirates University, Abu Dhabi.
He received the award for presenting his research paper titled “AI-Driven Predictive Modelling of Flow over Sloping Porous Weirs for Sustainable Hydraulic Design.” The study explores sustainable and hydraulically efficient alternatives to conventional impermeable weirs by integrating artificial intelligence techniques with principles of hydraulic engineering.
The research is part of Mr Danish’s ongoing PhD work under the supervision of Prof Mujib Ahmad Ansari and Dr Ajmal Hussain from the Department of Civil Engineering, AMU.
The recognition at an international platform highlights AMU’s continued contribution to research in sustainable engineering and climate-responsive infrastructure.
