Aligarh: Prof Asia Sultana, Anti-Discrimination Officer, Aligarh Muslim University, and Chairperson, Department of Ilaj Bit Tadabeer, delivered a lecture on “Gender Discrimination” at the Faculty of Unani Medicine to sensitise the newly admitted students regarding issues pertaining to discrimination on any grounds.
Prof. Sultana elaborated on the gender environment in the university, emphasising that the University has a strong tradition of inclusivity and strictly adheres to the zero-tolerance policy towards gender or any other kind of discrimination at any level.
She suggested ways to discourage any discrimination in the university and stressed that students are the torchbearers of the message of gender equality. She urged them to live in harmony and come forward to help spread the message of equal rights and equal opportunities among the masses.
Dr. Saba Zaidi extended a vote of thanks and presented a certificate to Prof. Asia Sultana as a token of appreciation.
