AMU Malappuram Centre Organises Business Workshop on How to Build a Profitable Brand in D2C Market

Aligarh: The Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram Centre, Kerala organised a Business Workshop on “How to Build a Profitable Brand in the D2C Market.” The keynote speaker was Mr. Md Barkat Ali, Digital Marketing Director at Jhingalala Prints and Wordwin Digital.

The workshop began with a welcome address by Kashish Khan (MBA student), followed by Dr. V.K. Hamza (Coordinator, DBA), who provided insights into the background and importance of the D2C model. Dr. Faisal KP (Director AMU Malappuram Centre) then emphasised the significance of such workshops and encouraged students to organise more events.

Conducting the academic session, Mr. Md Barkat Ali provided a structured approach to building a successful D2C brand. He elaborated on What, How, and Why D2C is required, Steps to build a profitable D2C model, Selecting the perfect niche and achieving product-market fit, Brand positioning and legal certifications, Choosing the right sales channels, Operations and logistics management (warehousing, fulfilment models, return/exchange policies), Customer retention and scaling strategies.

The event was attended by MBA students and faculty members. Syed Ahmed Saad, Convener ED Cell played an important role in organising the event.
