Aligarh: The Centre of Continuing and Adult Education & Extension at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a Shramdaan Programme aimed at fostering the spirit of cleanliness, dignity of labour, and community responsibility. The initiative resonates with India’s tradition of voluntary service and aligns with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of social harmony and equality.
As part of the programme, students and staff came together to clean the premises of the centre, showcasing the impact of collective efforts in improving societal order. Addressing the participants, Prof. Mohd Tariq of the Department of Economics emphasised the importance of Shramdaan in building an inclusive and harmonious society.
