Aligarh: Prof. Mohd Anwar, Department of Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College, Aligarh Muslim University delivered a lecture on “Regimenal therapy: A comprehensive remedy for musculoskeletal conditions” at the first Sheikh Zayed International Conference on “Traditional, Complementary And Alternative Medicine,” organised by the Lotus Holistic Health Institute, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Speaking on the significance of regimenal interventions in the management of various Musculoskeletal conditions, Prof Anwar said that cupping therapy has been used for centuries in traditional medicine and the study of its effectiveness in managing musculoskeletal diseases has suggested that cupping therapy can be a valuable adjunctive treatment for patients with musculoskeletal diseases.
He also stated during the panel discussion that evidence-based data on safety and efficacy of Unani Medicine and SOPs on various regimen of Ilaj bit Tadbeer, should be developed in order to meet international standards.
