AMU Professor Rashid Nehal Joins EFLU Board for English Language Education

Aligarh: Prof. Rashid Nehal from the Department of English at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been nominated as a Member of the Board of the School of English Language Education at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad. The nomination, recommended by EFLU Vice Chancellor Prof. Haribandi Lakshmi, will span a three-year term.

Prof. Nehal’s selection reflects his extensive expertise in material design and development in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). As a member of the Board, he will contribute to regulating and promoting research initiatives, as well as performing functions outlined by EFLU’s governing statutes and ordinances.

With over 32 years of experience in English language education, Prof. Nehal has held significant roles, including serving as Director of AMU’s Kishanganj Centre and as a member of AMU’s Executive Council, Academic Council, and Court.

Prof. Shaheena Tarunnum, Chairperson of the Department of English at AMU, congratulated Prof. Nehal on his nomination, recognising it as a testament to his distinguished contributions to the field of English language education.

This nomination is expected to enhance collaboration and innovation in English language education, further strengthening academic ties between AMU and EFLU.
