Aligarh: The University Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), organised a two-day Skill Development Programme on “MATLAB & Its Applications in Image Processing” on February 1-2. The initiative aimed to enhance students’ technological proficiency, equipping them with essential MATLAB skills for career advancement and self-employment in Electronics Engineering.
More than 80 diploma engineering students from various branches actively participated, gaining hands-on experience in MATLAB’s role in Image Processing and Mobile Game Development.
Dr. Mohd Tausif from the Department of Electronics Engineering, ZHCET, AMU, served as the resource person, delivering interactive sessions and practical insights.
Dr. (Mrs.) Salma Shaheen, Principal, University Women’s Polytechnic, welcomed Dr. Tausif and encouraged students to strengthen both their theoretical and practical understanding of MATLAB for real-world applications.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mohd. Ajmal Kafeel (Convener), Dr. Shahnawaz Uddin (Co-Convener), and Dr. Md. Amir Baig (Co-Convener), with key contributions from Dr. Mohd Shahbaz Hussain, Mr. Al Hamd Khan, and Ms. Nazia Haneef. Noor Saba, a diploma engineering student, conducted the event, while Mr. Mohd Kashif delivered the vote of thanks.
