Aligarh: The Club for Short Evening Courses (CSEC), under the Cultural Education Centre (CEC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), conducted a five-day course titled “The Excel Mastery 2.0: Integrated with Artificial Intelligence” recently. Designed to enhance data management proficiency, the course blended traditional Excel techniques with cutting-edge AI applications.
Dr. Mohd Yusuf Ansari, Professor at the Department of Petroleum Studies, led sessions on core Excel functions, logical operators, conditional formatting, and visualisation. On Day 4, Dr. Nadeem Akhtar, Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, introduced AI integration, demonstrating ChatGPT’s role in automation through VBA, Add-ins, and APIs. The programme received good response, with nearly 285 participants attending daily.
The course concluded with an assessment, recognising the top five performers. The Closing Ceremony was graced by Chief Guests Mr. Mujib Ullah Zuberi (Controller of Examination, AMU) and Professor Aasim Zafar (OSD Development), alongside distinguished guests Prof. Mohammed Naved Khan (Coordinator, CEC), Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui (President, CSEC), and Dr. Mohd Yusuf Ansari.
The initiative’s success was driven by the efforts of Prof. Mohammed Naved Khan, Dr. Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, Mr. Mohd Abdal (Secretary, CSEC), Ms. Ufi Alam (Convener, CSEC), and the organising team.
