AMU’s Dr. Munawar Hanih T.T. Awarded Prestigious ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Aligarh: Dr. Munawar Hanih T.T., a research scholar in Malayalam, Department of Modern Indian Languages, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the prestigious Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) post-doctoral fellowship, which spans two years, and will support his research on “The Role of Bhakti Poetry and Sufi Poetry in the Social Reformation of Kerala.”

Dr. Munawar Hanih will conduct his research under the mentorship of Professor T.N. Satheesan, Dean, Faculty of Arts. He previously earned his MA and PhD in Malayalam from the Department of Modern Indian Languages at AMU and has served as an Assistant Professor of Malayalam at Sir Syed College, Taliparamba, Kerala.

The ICSSR fellowship validates Dr. Munawar Hanih’s outstanding academic contributions and he aims to further research on the intersection of poetry and social transformation in Kerala.
