Aligarh: Prof. M. Masoom Raza, Chairperson of the Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University, shared his insights at the two-day International Seminar on “The Role of Libraries in Unveiling the Indian Knowledge Systems in the Digital Era” (RLUIKS–2025), jointly organised by the Visva-Bharati Library Network, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, and Universal Briefing, Kolkata.
Prof. Raza delivered a talk on “Legal and Ethical Challenges in Cultural Heritage Preservation,” where he explored the complexities arising from digitisation in safeguarding cultural heritage. His discussion covered key aspects such as intellectual property rights, accessibility, and regulatory enforcement.
In addition to his keynote address, Prof. Raza also participated as a panellist in a discussion that further examined the evolving role of libraries in the digital era.
