Aligarh: Prof. Mohammad Sanaullah Nadwi, Chairperson of the Department of Arabic at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), delivered the keynote address at an international seminar hosted by the Language Centre of the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid.
In his address on “Integrating Intellectual and Cultural Knowledge in Arabic Language Education,” Prof. Sanaullah underscored that blending cultural understanding with academic learning enhances educational quality and fosters intercultural dialogue.
He emphasised the increasing importance of Arabic language teaching in the digital age, noting its rich historical, civilizational, and aesthetic heritage. Prof. Sanaullah also called for the inclusion of cultural perspectives in Arabic curricula and highlighted the role of technology and digitisation in promoting innovation, research, and effective pedagogy.
The seminar further discussed the use of digital tools to advance contemporary Arabic language and literature on a global scale.
