Aligarh: Demonstrating exceptional marksmanship and composure, Indian shooting duo Sabeera Haris, a Class XII student of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and Kaynan secured a bronze medal at the prestigious International Shotgun Competition in Cyprus.
Competing in the highly competitive 75-target match, Sabeera Haris delivered an outstanding performance, hitting 72 out of 75 targets, while Kaynan followed closely with a commendable 70/75. In a dramatic shoot-off against the Chinese team, the Indian pair held their nerve to clinch the bronze for the country.
This outstanding achievement represents a major milestone in the careers of both shooters, especially for Sabeera, whose swift rise in the sport is garnering national recognition and bringing pride to Aligarh Muslim University. She is set to represent India at the ISSF Junior World Cup, scheduled to commence in Germany on May 19.
