Anjuman College Students Qualify for National Championships

Nagpur: Two students from Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology (ACET), Sadar, have been selected to represent their institutions and state at upcoming national-level sports championships, earning recognition for both their talent and their college.

Ilhum Akhtar, a sixth-semester Electronics and Telecommunication student, will represent Nagpur University in the All India Inter-University Fencing Championship (Epee event). The tournament will take place at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, from November 3 to 8.

Rishika Niranjane, a sixth-semester Electrical and Power Engineering student, has been chosen to represent Maharashtra in the 9th National Hapkido Championship scheduled in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, from December 6 to 8.

Both students were honoured in a felicitation ceremony held at ACET, where Anees Ahmad, CEO of Anjuman Hami-E-Islam, and Tahseen A. Mirza congratulated them for their achievements. Principal Dr. K. S. Zakiuddin, Dr. Sohail Pervez, Dean of Research and Development, and Dr. Zakir S. Khan were also present at the event.

The college administration commended the students for bringing pride to the institution and encouraged others to participate in extracurricular and sports activities alongside academics. ACET continues to promote student involvement in a range of disciplines, aiming to strengthen the university’s reputation for holistic education.
