Jaipur. The Rajasthan Chapter of the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) successfully held a free legal aid camp at its state office, Adarsh Nagar, Jaipur. The event aimed to raise judicial awareness, inform citizens about their constitutional and legal rights, and provide free legal assistance to the needy and underprivileged.
Experienced advocates from the High Court attended the camp, listening to various legal issues raised by common citizens and offering detailed advice and guidance. A large number of participants, including women, youth, and those in need, attended and found solutions to their problems.
Key areas covered in the free consultations included: Land and property disputes, including forced evictions, Criminal and civil cases, Labor, wage, and employment issues, Domestic violence and family harassment, Cybercrimes, Legal matters related to government schemes, Human rights violations, Legal aid for prisoners, Rights of women, children, and seniors, Rights of Dalits, minorities, and vulnerable groups, Consumer protection and other legal disputes.
The advocates educated attendees on legal procedures, protecting rights, statutory remedies for justice, and the importance of staying aware of the law. Services were provided by Advocates Syed Saadat Ali, Kaleem Ahmad Khan, Munazir Islam, Minhaj ul Haq, Syed Amir Ali, and Sumit Upadhyay.
Organization officials emphasized that ensuring access to justice for society’s weaker, deprived, and needy sections is APCR’s primary goal. Many people lose their rights due to lack of legal knowledge, so the chapter plans to hold such free camps across the state in the future.
The program was coordinated by Muazzamil Rizvi, General Secretary of APCR Rajasthan Chapter. Other attendees included APCR Advocate Meenakshi Sethi, Sarwar Alam Advocate, Sohail Qadri, Mohammad Sharif Advocate, and Mohammad Abid, Coordinator (Kota Division).
