New Delhi: Jamiat Ulema e Hind president Arshad Madani accused sectarian groups of spreading false narratives about Islam to increase hostility against Muslims. He said these groups fear Islam more than atomic weapons. He said Islam teaches peace, humanity and brotherhood, and linking it with terrorism harms public understanding.
Madani said anti Islam propaganda spreads through rumours. He said these efforts aim to turn communities against each other. He stated that Islam has survived for fourteen centuries and will endure until the end of time. He urged people to remember that all humans descend from Adam. He said divisions came later. He said those who create an anti Islam atmosphere ignore history and harm national unity.
He urged citizens to uphold the message of brotherhood. He said Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians must build relations based on respect. He warned that hatred in the name of religion damages society. He also cautioned people in positions of authority. He said power changes and no government remains forever. He said no one should misuse authority to inflame tensions.
Madani’s speech came days after a dispute over his earlier remarks on discrimination against Muslims. His comments followed security investigations at Al Falah University after a car blast near the Red Fort. He said Muslims gain leadership roles in global cities. He compared this with the situation in India. He said Muslim professionals struggle for positions such as university vice chancellors.
His remarks highlight concerns about equal opportunity, public safety narratives and the treatment of Muslim institutions.
