Dr. K.A. Paul Urges U.S. Leaders to Hold PM Modi Accountable for Violence Against Minorities in India

Dr. K.A. Paul, a globally renowned evangelist and Global Peace Ambassador, has called upon U.S. leaders, including former President Donald Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson, Senator John Thune, and other members of the U.S. Senate and Congress, to hold Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi accountable for the escalating violence against minorities, particularly Christians.
Dr. Paul’s appeal comes amid the ongoing crisis in Manipur, where widespread violence has resulted in thousands of deaths and mass displacement. He criticized the inaction of the state’s Chief Minister and questioned why Modi has not intervened despite the destruction of hundreds of churches and the brutal killing of innocent people.
“Why has Prime Minister Modi remained silent for two years as the situation in Manipur spiraled out of control? Why has he not visited the region to address the suffering?” Dr. Paul asked. He also condemned the horrific abuse of young girls during the unrest.
Recalling past incidents, Dr. Paul referenced the 1999 killing of Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two young sons, alleging that the attack had the backing of Odisha’s current Chief Minister, who was appointed by Modi. He emphasized that such incidents reflect a troubling pattern of violence against Christians, Muslims, and peace-loving Hindus under Modi’s leadership.
Dr. Paul further criticized the global silence on these human rights violations, particularly from U.S. leaders. He accused Congress of ignoring the suffering of millions of minorities in India while focusing on corporate corruption scandals involving businessmen like Gautam Adani and Megha Krishna Reddy.
“Congress must prioritize human rights over corporate corruption. If they continue to turn a blind eye to the atrocities faced by minorities in India, they are failing to uphold democracy, secularism, and justice,” he stated.
Despite personal risks, Dr. Paul vowed to continue advocating for justice and urged global leaders and the media to take immediate action against the persecution of minorities in India.
