Bajrang Dal Storms Haridwar College Over Iftar Party, Alleges ‘Islamic Jihad’ Conspiracy

Haridwar witnessed tensions on Saturday as Bajrang Dal workers stormed Rishikul Ayurvedic College, protesting an Iftar party organized by Muslim students. The right-wing group claimed the gathering, which included outsiders, was an attempt to disrupt the religious sanctity of the city.
Amit Kumar, a Bajrang Dal leader, alleged that the event was part of a broader effort to establish an Islamic presence in the college, which was founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. He warned the college administration of severe protests if action was not taken within three days.
In response, college director DC Singh confirmed that the event was held without official permission and was stopped once authorities intervened. A committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
Despite tensions, police managed to disperse Bajrang Dal members, though they have threatened further action if their demands remain unaddressed.
