Bandi Sanjay Pushes Hindu Vote Consolidation in Telangana, Targets Muslim Voting Patterns

Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay escalated his confrontation with BJP MP Eatala Rajender during a meeting in Huzurabad. He dismissed Eatala’s recent criticism of divisive politics and said he saw no issue with 80 percent of Hindus uniting as a vote bank. He said he would promote Hindutva for the rest of his life and framed the idea as central to the BJP’s political approach in Telangana.

He told party workers that Hindutva had strengthened the BJP in Greater Hyderabad. He cited the jump from four to forty eight seats in the GHMC polls as evidence. He argued that the Muslim community votes as a single bloc and questioned why Hindu voters should not do the same. He said the Muslim community should reflect on its voting choices and asked why Muslims do not support the BJP despite welfare schemes reaching all groups.

He referred to recent incidents in Pahalgam and Hyderabad and said raising concerns about Hindutva should not be treated as controversial. He added that the BJP aims to bring Ram rajya to Telangana.

Sanjay also warned panchayats in Telangana that development funds flow from the Centre. He said panchayats that support the Congress in upcoming sarpanch elections will lose access to resources. He framed the elections as a test of support for the BJP.

He spoke at the launch of the Kashaya Samara Bheri campaign. BJP leaders distributed pamphlets accusing the state government of poor performance. Party affairs in charge Chandrasekhar Tiwari released a song praising Sanjay. Workers responded with celebrations.

Sanjay’s remarks were viewed as a direct reply to Eatala’s comments on divisive politics. Their rivalry has grown since Sanjay’s exit from the state party chief position. Eatala has expanded his influence in Huzurabad through new party offices and local organizational control. Sanjay said only the party leadership can decide tickets.

Tensions between the two leaders continue ahead of local polls.
