Aligarh: Miss Qudsia Khan, a student of the BDS 2019 batch at Dr. Z.A. Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been awarded the prestigious Undergraduate Research Grant for the year 2024-25 by the Indian Association of Forensic Odontology (IAFO). She has been recognised for her research proposal titled “A Comparative Analysis of the Accuracy of Sex Determination Using Gonial Angle and Mandibular Canine Index.”
The Executive Committee of IAFO approved a grant of Rs. 10,000 to support her research during its meeting held on January 12, 2025. This grant aims to foster innovation among undergraduate students and encourage their contributions to forensic odontology.
Expressing her gratitude, Miss Qudsia Khan acknowledged the support of her mentors and the IAFO, stating that this recognition serves as a strong motivation for her to advance further in forensic science research.
Prof. Pradhuman Verma, Chairman of the Department of Oral & Dental Pathology and Microbiology/Oral Medicine & Dental Radiology, congratulated her on this achievement and extended his best wishes for the successful completion of her research.
