Bhopal: The Bhopal Chapter of the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) was honored with three awards at the National Executive Meet (NEM) – 2025 held on February 8-9 at Anjuman-i-Islam Campus, Mumbai. The awards included the AMP Special Award, Outstanding Performer Award to Rafat Iqbal Farooqui, and the IZC Special Award to Rashida Khan. Syed Nabeel Jamal Bari also represented the Bhopal Chapter. The event brought together over 100 leaders and invitees from across the country to review AMP’s 2024 achievements and plan 2025 initiatives.

AMP, a global non-profit NGO working for the upliftment of Indians, organized this gathering with its National Leadership Team, State Heads, Chapter Heads, and special guests. Outstanding performers from different chapters were recognized for their contributions in 2024. Head of the Bhopal Chapter, Rafat Iqbal Farooqui, expressed his excitement after receiving the award, saying the surprise announcements left him thrilled. He recalled the moment Farooqu Bhai announced his nomination and Amir Bhai invited him to receive the award as truly special.
AMP President Aamir Edresy set the tone for the two-day event, emphasizing that AMP has earned immense trust in Education & Empowerment. He urged members to increase their reach and membership to maximize social impact. He stressed the importance of working collaboratively and reminded everyone that they will be accountable on the Day of Judgment for how they utilized their time and resources. Farooq Siddiqui, Head of AMP’s National Coordination Team, welcomed all participants and praised the Mumbai Chapter and AMP Mumbai Office for organizing the event on short notice. He urged delegates to take AMP’s social development initiatives to every town across the country.

Razak Shaikh, Head of AMP Projects, outlined AMP’s accomplishments in 2024 and goals for 2025, highlighting that while AMP receives community recognition, the real question is whether enough has been done to uplift those in need. Kausar Tai, a UK-based Positive Coach and Management Consultant, addressed the gathering, stressing the need for sincerity in efforts and aligning actions with Islamic values and the model set by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Discussions on enhancing AMP’s reach and impact continued on the second day. Major resolutions included Mission 200 Chapters, aimed at activating local chapters, and the AMP Employment Cell, which plans to facilitate 10,000+ job placements through Job Fairs & Job Drives, register 1 lakh+ students, and set up 1,000+ exam centers for the AMP National Talent Search. The meeting concluded on a high note, with all award winners and participants pledging to further AMP’s mission and contribute to national development. The event began with Tilawat-e-Qur’an and introductions of participants from 20 states and 50 cities.
