Bhopal, May 26: Concerned citizens must address the rising number of online gambling apps and the future of the youth caught in their grip. This call to action was made by Maulana Absar Ahmed Falahi at the inauguration of the “Anti-Gambling Campaign” held in Bhopal.
The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bagh Dilkusha Unit, Bhopal, is spearheading a month-long “Anti-Gambling Campaign” from May 20 to June 20, 2024, across the city. The primary goal of this campaign is to rescue citizens, particularly the youth, from the traps of online and offline gambling and to raise awareness about this societal vice.
The campaign will utilize corner meetings, public gatherings, personal interactions, and a robust social media presence to spread its message. Additionally, a memorandum will be submitted to the District Collector addressed to the President, advocating for a complete ban on both online and offline gambling.
