‘BJP Likes Foul Smell, Building Cowsheds’: Akhilesh Yadav Slams Ruling Party

Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that it promotes hatred and neglects real development. Speaking in Kannauj, Yadav remarked, “Kannauj has always spread the fragrance of brotherhood, but the BJP spreads the stench of hatred.”
Mocking the ruling party’s initiatives, he added, “They like foul smell, which is why they are building cowsheds, while we focus on progress by developing a perfume park.” He also accused the government of misusing funds meant for controlling stray cattle.
In response, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya hit back, arguing that those who find cow dung unpleasant have lost touch with their roots. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla further accused the SP of disrespecting Hindu traditions for political mileage.
The remarks come amid rising political tensions ahead of the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh.
