BJP MLA Hints at UCC Implementation Following Waqf Bill Passage

 

Farrukhabad (Uttar Pradesh) – BJP MLA from Amritpur, Sushil Kumar Shakya, has stated that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be the next legislative move by the BJP following the passage of the controversial Waqf Bill, reported the Clarion India.
Speaking to the media on the occasion of the party’s 46th Foundation Day, Shakya reiterated the BJP’s commitment to its founding goals. “After the Waqf Bill, the UCC will be introduced. This is the BJP’s mission and we are determined to fulfill it,” he declared.
Highlighting the BJP’s achievements, Shakya said the party has remained steadfast since its inception in 1980. He cited milestones like the construction of the Ram temple, the abrogation of Article 370, and now, the amendment of the Waqf Bill as evidence of the BJP’s consistency in pursuing its ideological objectives.
He praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, crediting him for leading the party to three consecutive victories at the national level. “Our cadre works relentlessly to make India stronger and more respected globally,” he added.
The Foundation Day event witnessed the hoisting of the BJP flag and distribution of sweets among party workers, with several leaders in attendance.
