BJP’s Four-Engine Govt Exposed as Delhi Sinks in First Rain: AAP

– Abdul Bari Masoud
NEW DELHI: AAP slammed the BJP’s “four-engine government” after Delhi’s first rain flooded major roads like Minto Road, ITO, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Airport, and Old Rajendra Nagar.
Traffic came to a standstill. People waded through waterlogged streets. AAP leaders — Saurabh Bharadwaj, Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Atishi, and Jasmine Shah — posted videos blaming BJP’s failure to prepare for monsoon.
AAP called BJP’s rule a “Vipda” (disaster) government. It shared flooded street visuals, saying the BJP had turned roads into drains. “Drains are overflowing in BJP’s disaster regime,” AAP posted. “Many lives were lost. BJP’s rule is destroying Delhi.”
The party pointed to waterlogging outside the PWD office, run by BJP’s Parvesh Verma. Sharing a video of the submerged area, AAP said, “If this is the situation before monsoon, what happens in heavy rain? The Disaster Government did nothing when it had time. Now, ministers just pose for photos.”
Bharadwaj shared on X that four people, including a mother and her three kids, died in the rain. “This is the truth of BJP’s four-engine government,” he wrote. “Heavy rain and dust storm killed four. Even flights were affected.”
Sisodia hit out on X, saying, “Look at Delhi’s condition under BJP. Instead of working, the triple-engine government targets Kejriwal — and this is the result.”
Sanjay Singh said, “BJP guarantees destruction. All their engines are junk. One rain has flooded Delhi. They’ve broken records in ruining the city.”
Atishi posted a video of submerged areas near Dhaula Kuan and the airport. “Is this what people expected from BJP’s four-engine rule?” she asked.
Jasmine Shah reposted Singh’s video. “First rain and Delhi is flooded! In 3 months, power cuts, water issues, closed mohalla clinics and cluster buses — and now this. BJP has thrown Delhi into darkness.”
Minto Road, ITO, Karol Bagh Metro, and Old Rajendra Nagar were badly hit. Roads overflowed. Even big vehicles got stuck. Many residents couldn’t leave home due to flooding.
After the rain, BJP’s PWD Minister Parvesh Verma was seen walking through waterlogged roads. AAP posted a video, mocking him: “The minister now strolls beside the drain water of his own government.”
As citizens suffer and lives are lost, AAP blamed BJP for civic collapse. “This is criminal negligence, not just mismanagement. Delhi deserves better,” it said.
