Jaipur, Jan. 22: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan’s Medical Service Society (MSS) in collaboration with various organizations organised a blood donation and de-addiction camp at Moti Katala Dispensary, Silavtan, Subhash Chowk here Sunday.
Camp coordinator Riazuddin said blood donation is a very virtuous act. “We will also organize such camps in other areas of Jaipur,” he informed.
Danish Akhtar, President JIH Ramganj informed that 85 people got registered in the camp, out of which 69 people, including 5 women, donated blood. He also thanked the youth of the area, saying that if the youth come forward in any work, success is definitely achieved.
Fifteen people suffering from drug addiction also visited the camp. They were informed about the ill effects of drugs and given free medicines. The de-addiction camp was conducted under the supervision of Homoeopathic and Unani teams.
Muhammad Imran, JIH Jaipur coordinator said they have been organizing blood donation camps since 2006. Through this, awareness about blood donation has increased in the Muslim community and the youth have started participating in such camps in large numbers.
Dr. Sajid Hussain, President MSS Jaipur said the camp was organized under the joint aegis of MSS, Helping Hand Foundation (HHF), JIH Ramganj, Youth Forum JIH Ramganj, Students Islamic Organization of India Ramganj, Aahista Foundation, Jaipur Shia Community and Rahmani Youth Society Jaipur.
Maulana Nazish Akbar from the Shia community, Abrar Ahmed (Secretary JIH Rajasthan), Khan Abdul Wasi (President, MSS Rajasthan), Waqar Ahmed Khan (President, Welfare Party of India, Rajasthan), Joint Secretary Hanif Zohri, Youth Forum JIH Rajasthan President Mohammad Faizan, former Vice President of MSS Dr. Mohammad Hussain, Abdul Hakeem of HHF Jaipur, and President SIO Jaipur City Jenul Abidin, etc. were present to extend cooperation to this camp.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of doctors and their team from the Women’s Hospital Sanganeri Gate Blood Bank. MSS will organize 12 camps at various places in the city to collect around 600 units of blood and donate it to various blood banks, especially Sawai Mansingh Hospital.
MSS next camp will be held at Shia Waqf Imambargah, Pannigaran on January 28.
