Belagavi: The Board of Islamic Education Karnataka organised a Talent Award Ceremony, Prize Distribution and Book Release programme in Belagavi, where speakers highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, moral education and parental guidance in shaping responsible individuals.
Presiding over the event, Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Mulla, Markazi Rukne Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, said the pursuit of knowledge is among the finest qualities of a believer and should continue throughout life.
“Acquiring knowledge is the quality of the best servants of God. We should never remain satisfied with limited learning. Every person should continue seeking new knowledge throughout life,” he said.
He encouraged students to view education as a continuous journey rather than an achievement limited to academic qualifications.
Addressing the gathering, Riyaz Ahmed Ron, State Secretary of the Board of Islamic Education Karnataka, stressed the importance of God-consciousness in human life. He said genuine knowledge begins with recognising the Creator and living according to His guidance.
“There is only one God who watches every action. When people forget that they will one day account for their lives before Him, selfishness takes root. Recognising God and living according to His commands is true knowledge,” he said.
Shahid Memon, Rukne Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karnataka, focused on the role of parents in nurturing children’s character. He urged families to understand the changing mindset of young people and guide them with wisdom and sound values.
“Parents should understand the thinking of their children and guide them with patience. Good ideas and quality teachings transform lives,” he said.
The programme also featured addresses by Dr. Irfan Gulbarga, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Ameen Group of Institutions, and Ejaz Ahmed Lodhi, Vice President of Bashiban Education Society, Belagavi, who attended as chief guests.
A major highlight of the event was the release of the book Deene Islam, prepared by the Board of Islamic Education Karnataka. The publication aims to contribute to Islamic learning and value-based education.
The Board also honoured students who secured distinction in their examinations by presenting certificates and prizes in recognition of their academic excellence.
Muhammad Muhsin, Ameer-e-Muqami, delivered the welcome address and introduced the programme. Nisar Ahmed Auti, the local chief organiser of the Board, conducted the proceedings and proposed the vote of thanks. Riyaz Ahmed Auti, Nazim-e-Zila of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Belagavi, along with other community members and educationists, attended the function.
