Business Networking between RIFAH and Malaysia

Springs Hotel and Spa in Bangalore has proved to be a springboard for Rifah Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Karnataka to develop business relations with Malaysian business community. A business networking meet was held with Malaysian businessmen led by Fuziah Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade & Costs of Living on 21st September 2023. The host considered the meet ‘intrinsic, effective and strategic’.

The Malaysian Deputy Minister extended a warm invitation to Muslim businesses to participate in forthcoming trade shows in Malaysia. This gesture is poised to enhance cross-border business connections and collaboration. She vowed to facilitate connections between Indian Muslim businesses and their Malaysian counterparts. This bridge between two vibrant business communities holds the potential for increased trade, investment, and mutual growth, she said.

Mrs. Salleh briefed about the Rahmah and Madani schemes, designed to comply with the principles of Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ Shariah there. These initiatives are expected to foster ethical business practices and contribute to economic growth, she explained.

The president of RIFAH Chamber, Karnataka Syed Mumtaz highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between India and Malaysia. He emphasized that shared prosperity and growth could be achieved through synergy and mutual support. With a forward-looking approach, he put forth a set of expectations from the Malaysian government, which could further solidify the Indo-Malaysian business partnership. Introducing the Rifah to the guests, Syed Mumtaz threw light on the success stories from Rifah platform in the past couple of years.

Earlier, the event commenced with invocation from the holy Quran by Rifah’s State Secretary Mohamed Arifulla. He emphasized the need for collective approach in the Muslim Ummah. Following the spiritual invocation, state secretary – Events & Networking, Akhtar Ali extended a warm welcome to the guests and set the tone for productive discussions in the session.

A day before, a delegation of Rifah had participated in a summit ‘Franchise Malaysia’ organised by the Malaysian government in Bangalore joined by eight franchise companies from the host country. Delegates from Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Kerala also attended the summit.

Another milestone programme was conducted by Rifah in Huballi on Sunday evening. Top businessmen from the city, including Imran Khan, dealer of JSW Steel, and Ashraf Ali of Metropolis Hotel attended the programme. For most the participants the trails of Rifah were quite impressive and encouraging and they were assured their cooperation to carry forward the objectives of Chamber. Earlier in the day, the executive meeting of Rifah was also held in the city.
