Business Opportunities in African Countries are Wide Open: Rifah

Bidar, August 12: Mr. Umar Al-Bashir of Kenya, Robo Mohammed of Ghana and Ibrahim of Zimbabwe attended a meeting organized by Rifah Chamber of Commerce and Industries Bidar unit on export and imports from African countries.

Addressing the event, President of Rifah Chamber of Commerce and Industries Karnataka chapter Syed Mumtaz Mansoori admired the business managers who have the determination to expand their business not only in the country but also in the world. Endorsing the ambitions of the people to work together for the community and the country, and contribute to the growth of GDP, Syed Mumtaz said this is what Rifah also intends to do.

There are opportunities for real estate, infrastructure, digital healthcare, virtual industry, livestock and farming and other industries in South Africa. He called upon the attendees toe HH take advantage of these opportunities, think about the future of business and make a marketing plan for it. He further said that an entrepreneur lives in his future. What he thinks about rightly is called a vision. If it is done on paper, it is called a business plan and when moulded into a template, it becomes Methodology and Strategy. African countries are not only the land of opportunities, they are the future of entrepreneurship, he added.

Rifah’s Goa chapter President Muhammad Anees presented through PPT the African countries’ history, language, business conditions and success stories of few Indian business houses there. He said that doing business in the US and Europe is tough, while opportunities in African countries are wide open. If the aspirants of overseas business start from African countries, moving to Gulf countries, Europe and America would be easy, he added.

Among the 54 countries of Africa, Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, etc. were reported in detail: 17 million Indians in the largest Indian Diaspora in Nigeria, ten lakh in Kenya, fifty thousand in Uganda. Most of them are Sindhis, Marwaris and Gujaratis. In some African countries, the number of Muslims is 30 to 35 percent. India’s business is better compared to China’s growing business in African countries. Many Indian families have also influenced the politics of Africa: Mehta family in Uganda, Shah family in Kenya. He mentioned the five tools of business. (1) Business Exhibition (2) B to B Meeting (3) With the help of Indian Embassy (4) Through Online Website, and (5) Physical Marketing. He described physical marketing as better and invited everyone to open their first office in Africa.

About 100 businessmen from places like Bidar, Gulbarga, Latur, Pune, Humnaabad, Basvakalyan and Kamthana participated.
