How many more babies have to die before this government will call for a ceasefire?

In a video released by TRT World, holding her own baby during a parliamentary debate over Israel’s bombardment on Gaza, New Democratic Party MP Laurel Collins called on the Canadian government to demand a ceasefire. She said:
We cannot turn away from the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. There are over 50,000 pregnant women who are deprived of access to medical care. Amidst the chaos, more than 100 women give birth every day.
The New Democrats have demanded a ceasefire from the start, denounced the atrocities of the Hamas and demanded the release of all hostages. And now, it’s imperative that we prioritise human rights, international law, and human decency in the context of the horrific killings of individuals who have no connection with Hamas.
C-sections are being performed without anaesthesia. Imagine not having access to food, water, or electricity while you’re pregnant. In the midst of bombings and attacks, women are miscarrying and mothers and infants are dying. More than 4000 children have been killed since the start of this siege. How many more babies have to die before this government will call for a ceasefire?
