Children Islamic Organisation’s New Green Generation: Tiny Tots Take the Lead for India

National Convenor: ‘Hands in Soil Hearts with India’ CIO Mission Plantation Campaign

In an inspiring display of confidence and environmental commitment, India is witnessing a remarkable wave of green leadership through the Children Islamic Organisation’s (CIO) nationwide plantation campaign, “Hands in Soil, Hearts with India.”

This one-month-long drive, running from June 25 to July 25, is not merely about planting trees but about nurturing a new generation of responsible, articulate, and socially conscious citizens. What makes this campaign truly unique is its innovative approach of launching programmes through press conferences led by young children. These enthusiastic students are stepping into leadership roles, addressing communities, and spreading powerful messages about environmental protection and the importance of plantation drives – proving that even the smallest voices can inspire meaningful change and lead big movements for a greener, better India.

One of the core objectives of CIO has always been to enhance life skills among children – and this campaign is proving to be a powerful platform for that. From public speaking to media interaction, from environmental awareness to teamwork, children are experiencing real-world learning in action.

“This is not just about trees, it’s about the future we’re building for ourselves,” said Hamdaan-e-Rab, a 12-year-old participant from Madhya Pradesh, at a recent press briefing, his confidence belying his age.

Adding her voice to the mission, Abdul Hadi from Maharashtra, expressed, “We want to show that children can be the protectors of nature. Every plant we put in the soil is a message of hope for India.”

Meanwhile, Reeha Riyaz from Karnataka, spoke passionately about the urgency of the mission, saying, “If we love our country, we must care for its trees and rivers. This campaign is our way to serve both Allah’s creation and our homeland.”

As the campaign flows into full swing, cities and towns across India are seeing enthusiastic participation from children of all backgrounds. Schools, madrasas, and local communities are joining hands, and tiny hands are planting hopeful green saplings for tomorrow.

The unique concept of children-led press conferences is drawing attention nationwide, showcasing how – when given the right platform – even the youngest voices can echo with wisdom and purpose.

India’s green movement, it seems, has found its newest and most vibrant ambassadors through CIO’s visionary campaign.
