Chopda’s Khatik Community Hosts Successful Event on Education, Career, and Skill ‎Development

Chopda (Jalgaon): The Khatik (butcher) community organized a successful programme at Mahatma Phule Government Polytechnic College, focussing on education, career opportunities, and skill development. Held under the banner of the Khatik Samaj Maha Sanghatana, the event attracted thousands of participants from various regions.

Mufti Haroon Nadwi, a prominent Islamic scholar, underscored the importance of knowledge as the foundation for the rise and fall of nations. He emphasized that for any community to progress, it must strive for excellence in both education and technical skills.

In his inaugural speech, Ram Naik, president of the Maha Sanghatana, encouraged the community to prioritise education. He acknowledged the educational backwardness of the community and stressed the need to steer the younger generation toward modern education and skills development.

The programme featured speeches by several scholars who highlighted the importance of educational advancement. MLA Baji Rao Tawde also addressed the audience, urging the community to fortify its identity through education and uplift itself through learning.

During the event, 116 students were honoured for their outstanding academic achievements in 2022-23. Additionally, 10 women were recognized for their skills and contributions. Career counselling sessions were held to assist students and parents, offering guidance on exploring career paths aligned with their interests. Experts provided insights on how to achieve success through a combination of education and technical expertise.

In the concluding session, Ram Khan, president of the Maha Sanghatana, expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests and presented them with mementos. A special career counselling session, attended by more than 650 students, further reflected the community’s growing interest in education and its commitment to progress.
