Mumbai: The Children’s Islamic Organisation (CIO) Malwani held its Founding Day celebration at the IWC campus on November 2, bringing together more than 57 children from Gate 3, Gate 5, and Mhada units for an evening of faith, learning, and motivation.
The event began with Quran tilawat by a CIO student, followed by an inaugural address from the mentor. Students then shared heartfelt speeches on “Why We Love CIO,” expressing how the organisation shaped their confidence and Islamic understanding. A soulful hamd and an energetic action hamd performance by CIO students set a lively tone for the gathering.
Guest speaker Ameer-e-Maqami, representing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Malwani, addressed the children with encouraging words. He emphasised the importance of faith-based education and the role of young Muslims in building a moral and just society.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the distribution of certificates of promotion from CIO to the Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) and the Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO). Promoted students shared their experiences, followed by motivational talks by GIO representatives. The crowd joined in a spirited rendition of the CIO Tarana, waving CIO flags proudly before taking the CIO pledge together.
A quiz session added a fun learning element to the evening, followed by snacks. Several new children joined CIO during the event. A parent attending the programme shared emotional feedback, saying she was amazed at her child’s newfound confidence after joining CIO.
