CIO Nagpur (W) Celebrates Convention Day with Spectacular Showcase of Talents

Nagpur, March 15: The Children’s Islamic Organisation (CIO) of Nagpur (West) marked its Annual Day with a heartwarming celebration, offering a captivating glimpse into the activities and achievements of its young members throughout the year. The event was a delightful surprise orchestrated by the children for their mothers, showcasing their talents and learnings from the organization’s weekly programs.

The festivities commenced with the solemn recitation of verses from the Quran, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. This was followed by a touching Nazm titled “Pyare baccho nek bano tum, jhagde chhodo, ek bano tum” (Children become pious, become one and don’t fight), emphasizing the values of righteousness and harmony instilled in the young participants.

Central to the program was the emphasis on the significance of Namaz (Islamic prayer) and its proper performance, a key focus of the organization’s weekly curriculum. The girls of CIO presented a poignant tableau titled “Zameen puchti hai Namazi kahan hai?” (The earth is asking where are those who offer Salat?), highlighting the spiritual connection between prayer and the earth.

The boys, on the other hand, captivated the audience with a creative skit titled “We are Muslims,” illustrating daily practices of a devout Muslim, from greeting with Salam to charitable acts and communal solidarity. The climax of the performance saw the children standing in solidarity with their counterparts in Palestine, delivering a powerful message on the unity of the Ummah.

As the event coincided with the eve of Ramadan, the youngest members of CIO delighted the audience with a performance titled “We love you Ramadan!” showcasing their anticipation and excitement for the holy month.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Mrs. Wajida Kardar graced the event as a Guest Speaker, sharing valuable insights on “Identification of Skill in Children and their Development.” Her address provided special mothers in attendance with invaluable tips on nurturing the talents of their children. The culmination of the Annual Day celebration saw distribution of prizes, honoring the children for their remarkable achievements and contributions throughout the year.
