CIO-Parli’s Mission Plantation Wins Minister Pankaja Gopinath Munde’s Appreciation, Inspires Call for People’s Movement

Parli Vaijnath – The Children’s Islamic Organization, Parli (CIO-Parli), received appreciation from Maharashtra’s Minister of Environment & Climate Change and BJP National Secretary Pankaja Gopinath Munde for their impactful tree plantation and conservation campaign conducted as part of CIO’s nationwide initiative.
The meeting took place yesterday at the minister’s residence, where enthusiastic schoolchildren from CIO-Parli presented the objectives, methods, and community response to their environmental drive. The campaign, which engaged residents across Parli, aimed to promote environmental awareness, community participation, and the long-term preservation of greenery.
Pankaja Munde, who personally interacted with each participating student, expressed deep admiration for their commitment to protecting the environment. She emphasized that such initiatives should go beyond being one-time events, evolving into sustained people’s movements. “Communities must unite for the sake of our planet,” she said, highlighting the need for broad-based ecological responsibility.
In a moment that left a lasting impression on the young campaigners, the minister shared a Hadith of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: “Even if you see the Day of Judgment (Qayāmat) approaching, you should still plant a tree.” She later posted about her interaction with CIO-Parli on her official Facebook page, which is followed by over 8.5 lakh people.
The CIO-Parli campaign underscored that environmental protection must be rooted not only in policies but also in ethical responsibility and community engagement. By actively involving students, the initiative served as both an educational experience and a form of community service.
CIO-Parli’s efforts, backed by ministerial encouragement, are expected to inspire more tree plantation drives and greater student participation across Maharashtra. This collaboration between young citizens and government leadership highlights a shared vision for a greener, more sustainable future.
