CIO’s Vacation Planning Ideas: Engaging Children in Productive and Enriching Activities

1 May 2024: In today’s digital age, children are often immersed in technology, spending their free time engaged with screens and devices. Recognizing the importance of providing alternative and enriching experiences, the Children Department of Markaz, under CIO India, has introduced a series of activities aimed at making children’s holidays more productive and meaningful. These initiatives, which encompass Islamic education, skill development, and moral values, seek to offer children a well-rounded and fulfilling vacation experience.

Under the theme of Aqeedah (Creed), a plethora of activities await the children, including hands-on tasks such as cutting and pasting the ninety-nine names of Allah and captivating storytelling sessions highlighting the lives of prophets. Additionally, opportunities to delve into the intricacies of Imaan-e-Mujmal and Imaan-e-Mufassal will be provided, allowing children to deepen their understanding of Islamic beliefs.

Skill development forms a cornerstone of the program, with a strong emphasis on communication and organization skills. Through interactive exercises, children will have the chance to describe their friends’ hobbies and qualities, thereby honing their communication abilities while fostering a deeper appreciation for their peers. Moreover, sessions on organization skills will empower children to organize their belongings effectively, instilling a sense of order and responsibility from a young age.

In addition to skill-building activities, the program will also focus on moral values, including truthfulness, non-judgmental attitudes, and anti-bullying awareness. By engaging in storytelling sessions and interactive discussions, children will learn the importance of honesty, empathy, and respect for others, thereby cultivating a strong moral compass.

Sports and outdoor activities will complement the educational component of the program, providing children with opportunities for physical exercise and teamwork. From traditional outdoor games like football and hide-and-seek to indoor favorites such as Ludo and Message Passing Game, the program promises a perfect blend of fun and fitness for children of all ages.

As the program unfolds, CIO invites children from all corners of India to participate in these enriching activities, ensuring that their summer holidays are not only enjoyable but also productive. With Islamic classes ongoing in various states as part of the nationwide summer campaign, children are encouraged to seize the opportunity for growth and learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.
