Mumbra: The Savitribai Phule-Fatima Bi Sheikh Public Library in Mumbra has become a vital academic hub, attracting hundreds of students daily. Recognizing the growing demand for study spaces and academic resources, plans are now in place to expand the facility by adding an additional floor. The expansion will provide dedicated coaching for MPSC and UPSC aspirants, along with motivational lectures and skill-enhancing programs.
This initiative is set to benefit Mumbra’s students, particularly those from the Muslim community, who often face limited access to quality educational facilities. The library, which was established last October, has already transformed the local academic landscape by offering a rich collection of religious, political, historical, and academic books. The new floor will further enhance these opportunities, ensuring that students pursuing careers in medicine, engineering, and civil services receive the necessary guidance within their locality.
For many young aspirants, the library has become a second home, offering a quiet and resourceful environment to focus on their studies. A law aspirant shared that she spends entire days at the facility, bringing her lunch along to maximize her study time. To facilitate the learning of students, the Savitribai Phule-Fatima Bi Sheikh Public Library has arranged Wi-Fi access and laptops. MLA Jitendra Awhad, who visited the library on Saturday, acknowledged the importance of this initiative and assured continued support for the educational aspirations of Mumbra’s students.
