Bengaluru: As part of the ongoing Seerat campaign, Akbar Ali Udupi, the State Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Karnataka, presented Chief Minister Siddaramaiah with a newly published book titled “Collection of Writings on Prophet Muhammad.” The presentation took place at Kaveri Bhavan here, where the Chief Minister expressed his appreciation and support for the campaign.
The book, published by Shanti Prakashana, was warmly received by Siddaramaiah, who praised the initiative and underscored the importance of promoting messages of peace and unity across society. Akbar Ali Udupi briefed the Chief Minister on the various activities and outreach efforts under the Seerat campaign, which aims to educate the people of Karnataka about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and their relevance in today’s world, particularly in the context of modern India.
In his remarks, the Chief Minister expressed his delight with the campaign and extended his best wishes for its success. He emphasized the importance of spreading messages that foster peace, understanding, and harmony among different sections of society.
The presentation was attended by notable figures, including the Chief Minister’s Political Secretary, Nasir Ahmed, Senior IAS Officer L.K. Ateeq Ahmed, and Jamaat’s State Media Co-Secretary, Muhammad Talha.
The Seerat campaign, organized annually by JIH Karnataka for the past decade, focuses on reaching a wide audience through books, pamphlets, and other educational materials that highlight the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The campaign also includes corner meetings, symposiums, seminars, and digital outreach efforts like social media posts and short films to further disseminate its message.
This year’s theme, “Exalted Character of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ,” emphasizes the Prophet’s virtues of compassion, honesty, and justice, encouraging individuals to embody these values in their daily lives. The campaign’s outreach extends across Karnataka, fostering dialogue on how the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ provide timeless guidance for both personal and societal well-being.
With growing support from various quarters, including prominent political and social leaders, the Seerat campaign continues to play a crucial role in promoting interfaith harmony and understanding within Karnataka’s diverse socio-cultural fabric.
