New Delhi: The Congress party has strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which claimed the lives of several security personnel. In a high-level meeting, the party adopted a resolution denouncing the incident and called for collective national unity and determination to combat terrorism, reported the Madhyamam.
The resolution stated that the attack was an act of cowardice aimed at destabilizing the peace and integrity of the country. Congress emphasized the need for a united stand against such threats and expressed deep solidarity with the families of the martyrs.
Party president Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing the gathering, underscored the importance of national resolve and unity in the face of such challenges. He reiterated that the Congress party has always stood firm against terrorism and will continue to support all efforts to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
The resolution also urged the government to take all necessary steps to bring the perpetrators to justice and enhance the protection of citizens and security forces in sensitive areas.
Congress leaders observed a moment of silence to honor the lives lost in the attack and reaffirmed their commitment to India’s sovereignty and peace.
