Bengaluru: Greatness of a person is not by virtue of birth rather it comes with his deeds, said Riyaz Ahmed, Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karnataka.
He was addressing a Seerat convention organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mysore Road Unit for the civic workers of the area.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught that all human beings are equal and should live in love and coexistence with each other. But today people are divided on the basis of caste, religion, clan and gotra which is really a big tragedy, he said.
It was first of its kind programme for the civic workers, who felt honoured to share the seats with other fellow citizens.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Bengaluru City Deputy Convener Dr. Syed Fakhruddin Qazi delivered the introductory and welcome speech.
