Coimbatore, August 2, 2024: Divyodaya Inter-Religious Centre celebrated a significant milestone with a grand event marking its 45th Foundation Day and the anniversary of the Peace and Harmony Club, titled ‘Sangamam-2024’ here Thursday.
Fr. Wilson Chakkyath CMI delivered the welcome note, emphasizing the vital role of unity in promoting peace and harmony among young minds and society at large. The event was graced by various religious leaders, including Bp. Timothy Ravinder, Bishop of CSI Coimbatore Diocese; Mr. Arjun representing Perur Adheenam Thavathiru Shanthalinga Marudhasala Adigalar; Mr. M. Abdul Hakeem, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Coimbatore; Mr. Mothilal Rathore, a committee member of the Sri Jain Coimbatore Sangh; and Mr. Gurpreet Singh, President of Gurudwara Coimbatore.
These leaders shared profound insights on fostering peace and interfaith dialogue, reinforcing the centre’s mission. A notable highlight was the recognition of young Peace Ambassadors from various schools in Coimbatore and across Tamil Nadu. These students were honored for their remarkable efforts in promoting peace and harmony throughout 2023-24.
