Nanded, July 30: The Central Education Board of Maharashtra organized a state-level teachers’ convention at Urdu Ghar here, bringing together educators, teachers, and enthusiasts to discuss modern educational trends, their importance, and the illustrious aspects of educational heritage. The program began with recitation from the Quran by Qazi Ehteshamuddin.
Professor Syed Aziz Mohiuddin, Chairman of the Central Education Board of Maharashtra, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of education and the need for reforms in the current educational system.
The keynote address was delivered by Syed Sadatullah Husaini, Ameer (National President) Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, titled “Intellectual, Philosophical, and Technical Merits of Teaching.” He highlighted the importance of various facets of teaching and provided suggestions to enhance educational standards.
Er. Husaini stated, “The true essence of education lies in its spirit. The purpose of education is not merely to meet market demands but to prepare for a better future. A crucial goal of education is to help students recognize their individuality, personal identity, and capabilities so they can turn their goals and dreams into reality.”
He further elaborated on the current educational system’s challenges, saying, “Future generations face a moral and cultural crisis, and it is the teachers’ responsibility to guide students on the right path. Children are leaning towards a culture that differs from their own cultural and moral values. Teachers must confront this challenge by aligning students with their culture and values.”
Hafiz Ilyas Khan Falahi, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra, spoke on “Our Educational Heritage and Glorious Aspects of the Past,” highlighting historical educational achievements and connecting the audience with the rich educational history.
Aslam Feroz, National Secretary of the All India Ideal Teachers Association, discussed “Modern Educational Trends, Importance, Opportunities, and Challenges,” providing insights into contemporary educational practices.
Mubashshira Firdaus, Editor of Hadiya e-Magazine Delhi and Assistant Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, addressed the increasing negative trends in the current educational culture, offering practical suggestions for overcoming these challenges and improving the educational system.
In the second session, Dr. Badrul Islam, Assistant Professor at MANUU, presented a detailed analysis on “Positive and Negative Aspects of the National Education Policy.”
A panel discussion titled “Quality Consciousness – Our Need” was chaired by Dr. Sheikh Azimuddin, former Dean of the Faculty of Education Department at Integral University, Lucknow. The panel included Khwaja Sartajuddin (Aurangabad), Arif Khan (Mumbai), and Professor Syed Javed (Pune).
Syed Sadatullah Husaini delivered the closing address, congratulating everyone on the successful convention and shedding light on future strategies.
The convention was deemed highly informative and beneficial by the participants, marking an important step towards exploring new horizons and addressing challenges in the field of education.
