1 May 2024: EduPower, a pioneering organization committed to enhancing educational standards, recently conducted a one-day workshop in the national capital aimed at empowering school leaders. The workshop, spearheaded by a group of seasoned educators with over three decades of experience, focused on the imperative need to elevate schools, refine management skills, and enhance teacher capabilities.
Led by Dr. Abdul Qadeer, Chairman of the Shaheen Group of Institutions, and managed by Mujtaba Farooque, EduPower is dedicated to advancing primary and middle-level schools, with a comprehensive approach to training teachers, refining management practices, improving infrastructure, upskilling non-teaching staff, offering parenting classes, and integrating Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into school systems. While their mission extends nationwide, their initial efforts are concentrated in Northern India, where many schools are striving to bridge educational gaps.
During the workshop, M. Shariq, Deputy Director of Education, introduced novel pedagogical techniques, emphasizing the importance of innovation in teaching practices. Dr. Rihan Khan Suri, Director of the Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at JMI Central University, highlighted the critical role of teacher empowerment, urging attendees to explore diverse dimensions of educational leadership.
Dr. Salman Asad elucidated the significance of technology in education, elucidating how advancements like augmented reality and virtual reality can enhance learning experiences. Dr. Aqeel delineated various management styles and underscored the essential qualities needed for school improvement.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer shared insights from his educational journey, inspiring school leaders to embrace innovation and emulate successful models like Shaheen Group of Institutions.
The workshop concluded with a renewed sense of purpose among participants, armed with strategies and insights to propel their schools toward excellence. EduPower remains steadfast in its commitment to catalyzing positive transformation in education across India.
