Baran: The Eid Miladun Nabi procession in Baran, Rajasthan, was conducted smoothly, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Organized by Markazi Tanzeem Ahle Sunnat, the event began at Mela Maidan and was attended by prominent figures including Baran city Qazi Abdul Qayyum, Ahle Sunnat president Mohammad Abid Deshwali, and Waqf Board president Irfan Ansari.
The procession, which traversed key areas such as Shoparian Darwaza, Anjuman Chowraha, Dharmada Chowraha, and Pratap Chowk, featured participants singing naats and nazms in praise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Devotees carried banners and religious flags, and concluded with prayers for peace and harmony.
During the event, a minor disagreement occurred between some young participants and the police at Pratap Chowk regarding the procession route. This issue was amicably resolved with the police administration, and the procession continued without further incident.
However, false reports emerged alleging stone-pelting and communal tension during the event. Baran Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Chaudhary addressed these rumors through a video statement and written communication, clarifying that such claims were baseless and urging the public to disregard them.
The procession in Baran was marked by cooperation between the community and police, underscoring the peaceful and harmonious spirit of the celebration.
