Vaniyambadi : In a vibrant celebration of unity and communal harmony, an Eid Milan program was held on April 5, 2025, at Maadin ul Uloom Arabic College, Vaniyambadi. The event witnessed the participation of over 600 people, with more than 50% being non-Muslims—reflecting a strong spirit of interfaith understanding and mutual respect.
The event was presided over by Moulvi Abdur Rahman Saheb Maadani, Qazi-e-Shariat of Tirupattur District. Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Sriram Sharma, renowned writer and director known for his play Velu Nachiyar, and Mr. V. S. Mohammed Ameen, editor of the Tamil fortnightly Samarasam.
A key highlight of the evening was the release of a new book authored by Sriram Sharma titled “Khadija (RA) – A Great and Intellectual Woman”, available in both Urdu and Tamil. The book celebrates the legacy of Hazrat Khadija (RA), the first wife of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, emphasizing her wisdom, intellect, and unwavering support to the early Islamic mission.
Organized collaboratively by several local Muslim organizations including Vaniyambadi Muslim Educational Society (VMES), Maadin ul Uloom, Islamic Information Centre (IIC), Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), and others, the program marked the conclusion of the holy month of Ramzan with a message of peace, love, and unity.
Held at Maadin ul Uloom Arabic College, opposite the MLA Office on Jinnah Road, Khaderpet, the event left a lasting impression on attendees, bridging communities through dialogue and cultural connection.
