Empowering Researchers: AMU Organises Online Training on ‘Enhancing Research Excellence with ONOS: Exclusive SAGE Journals’

Aligarh: In a significant stride toward promoting academic excellence, the Maulana Azad Library, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), in collaboration with SAGE Publications, New Delhi, organised an online training programme titled “Enhancing Research Excellence with ONOS: Exclusive SAGE Journals”. The training aimed to empower scholars, faculty, and researchers by equipping them with knowledge on maximising the benefits of the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) initiative of the Government of India. It focused on increasing the visibility, impact, and accessibility of academic research through SAGE’s premium journals and digital tools.

Mrs. Renu Rana, from SAGE Publications, offered an overview of SAGE’s suite of academic products. She guided attendees through research article management, citation tools, and reference organisation using the SAGE platform, and responded to audience questions in a live interactive session.

The core training was led by Mr. Manoj Gupta, Senior Manager (Training & Analytics), SAGE Publications. His demonstration covered journal discovery, submission guidelines, citation tracking, setting up alerts, and navigating mini-websites – equipping participants with essential skills to refine their research output and publishing strategies.

Prof. Nishat Fatima, University Librarian and event coordinator, welcomed participants and resource persons. She emphasised ONOS as a transformative step for the Indian research ecosystem, offering equitable access to high-quality academic resources across institutions.
